History

With a rich ancestral heritage of service to the nation , the Chiniot Anjuman Islamia, Karachi was formed and registered in 1984 so as to continue the mission of serving the nation, particularly in the fields of education and health. The Anjuman therefore decided to establish an educational institution based on the principles of Islamic teaching blended with modern concepts to meet the requirement of society. Chiniot Islamia Public School was established in 1986 under the patronage of Chiniot Anjuman Islamia. The institution is purely a service oriented venture and is run on ‘Not for Profit’ basis. The focus of Chiniot Islamia Public School and College is to provide quality education at affordable cost. Our pledge is to achieve excellence through education. The foundation stone of the building was laid in 1986 by Maj Gen Afzal Khan, the then Deputy Martial law administrator of Karachi zone. The school started with a humble strength of only 26 students in 1986, which by 2013 has risen to approximately 1850 students. In the year 2003 ‘Afternoon’ shift started for the boys in primary classes. The same year girls were also admitted in class VI in the morning shift on the request of parents. In the year 2004 major academic uplift programmes initiated consisting of:-
 
i) Up gradation of school to intermediate classes for science group.
 
ii) Start of O level classes for boys.
 
iii) Admissions of girls in the afternoon shift in primary classes and admission of girls in secondary section in morning shift.
