[tab]The institution has a proper band and the students take a lot of interest in it. A Band Master trains the students on regular basis. The band takes part in morning assembly. It also displays its talent on various functions held in the School especially the “Annual Day” when the Chief Guest is given Guard of Honour. The School band orchestrates all the activities of the parade and the saluting squad.[/tab][tab]‘IQRA’ the magazine of the School is being published every year for the last 14 years under the patronage of Executive Committee of CIPS. The magazine reflects the intellectual grooming of the students and the faculty. Majority of the contributions in the shape of various write-ups/articles etc are from the students. There are two sections of the magazine Urdu and English. This is also a platform which affords an opportunity to the students to express themselves. It gives them the confidence to pursue their writing skills.[/tab][tab]Chiniot Islamia Public School is primarily working as a welfare institution. Maximum facilities are extended to deserving students. Generous fee concession is given on compassionate grounds. There are almost 20% students who avail fee concession facility.
It also has established an endowment fund to help financially needy students in their higher education after they have left this institution. This facility of financial help is very shortly going to cover students from all over Pakistan for merit scholarships other than our own students.[/tab][tab]First batch of Matric consisting of 17 students appearing in 1991 with 100% result. Since then the School has stood to its reputation and produced excellent results consistently. Our student Hassan Khan got Ist position in Matric Board exam amongst boys in 2007 and apart from this every year there are numbers of students who win the merit scholarships given be Karachi Board. From any standard Chiniot Islamia Public School has always produced excellent results. Matric results of the last 30 years (1991-2020) bear testimony to the high standards of our school.[/tab][tab]Need for training and updating the existing knowledge and teaching techniques of teachers cannot be overemphasized. Teachers are being sent regularly for workshops / courses being arranged at TRC, SPELT, I.E.D, PACC etc to keep themselves abreast with the latest techniques. Regular weekly lecture/training sessions are held to improve the quality of teaching. We are very active members of all the teachers training institutions.[/tab][tab]Gold Medals weighing 4 grams of solid gold are awarded to top 25 students who pass their SSC part II (Matriculation), securing minimum 85 percent marks, two students of HSC part II (Intermediate), securing minimum 80 percent and one student of O level final year securing minimum 88 percentage marks.
Silver Medals are awarded according to the similar criterion as for gold medals to the students qualifying SSC part I, HSC part I and O level Cambridge University exam of O-2. [/tab][tab]CIPS realizes the need of Career Counseling for the young generation of our country and to meet this need the sessions for career counseling is another initiative of the management of CIPS. These sessions are held for the students of senior secondary sections for at least once in one term to keep this age group informed about the trends of the world in modern age.[/tab][tab]In order to promote qualities of leadership, initiative, team work and comradeship the management has started scouting activities in the institution since 2012. The Scout Unit of CIPS is registered with Sindh Boys Scouts Association and has earned very good name in this short span of time due to its efficient working. The unit is now recognized as one of the most active scout unit of the city because it has arranged number of camps, training courses and useful activities.[/tab]
